Guidelines for preparation of Oral Presentations

The allocated time for Keynotes will be 25 minutes for presentation plus 5 minutes for discussion. The allocated time for Platform presentations will be 12 minutes for presentation plus 3 minutes for discussion. We suggest a maximum of two slides is used for "introduction" in order to allow most of the time to present the hypothesis, objectives and most innovative results and conclusions. The allocated time for Short presentations will be 7 minutes. Authors should present only the objective and the main results and conclusions, leaving out introduction and methodology aspects.

Chairpersons will strictly enforce time limits of the presentations, especially considering the fact that the conference will run in parallel sessions.

All conference rooms will be equipped with computers with PowerPoint software and data projectors only. PowerPoint files should be uploaded in the Presentation Upload Room. Speakers are requested to introduce themselves to the chair of the session at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.

Authors of Plaform Presentations are invited to prepare a full paper to be considered for publication in Water Science and Technology. For that they are required to submit an 8-page full paper according to the IWA Publishing Guidelines by email to before the 20th June 2013. These papers will undergo a peer review by at least two experts. The designated WST Editor will use those reviews to make the final decision on which papers should be accepted for publication.
